Reasons to visit Melbourne

Due to popular demand...ok, due to Jack's demand, here are my list of reasons to visit Melbourne. And, look! Ive included pictures too :) How very illustrative of me.

1. MEEEEEEE! Very sweet and entertaining

2. Jack, Crown is heaps better than Starcity! It much larger, got many levels of fashion & food & other entertainment such as nightclubs & cinemas & bowling. (From Xtine's last comment) Seafood buffet is really cheap too. And in 3 different restaurants. And every night there is a fire display right next outside the restaurants. Very Las Vegas.

3. Melbourne has fantastic little lanes that you have to find and explore nestled with unique little cafes and shops. Very European. (Sorry I had to steal these images from Mel's blog)

4. Artwork on the streets, such as a this graffiti alley. Very ghetto.

5. Heaps of things are free. Parking is free after 6pm and on sundays, there is a free city-circle tram that takes you anywhere you wanna go in the city, and a free coach bus that takes you to hotspots in the inner city. Very wallet-friendly for cheapskates like Jack.

6. The Melbourne Comedy Festival is on at the moment, and there are cheap tickets starting from $15. Very funny.

7. Miss Saigon is showing at Her Majesty's Theatre. My favourite musical. Very romantic.

8. Forget Chapel St. Go to Chadstone near where I live. One-stop place for everything. Very convenient. http://www.chadstoneshopping.com.au

9. The Lord Mayor John So is sooo cute. He's the reason everyone is so friendly and happy. Very inviting.

10.Phillip Bay and the penguin parade is only 1.5hrs drive. And so are the furry cattle. Verrry cute.11. And dont forget the stonegrill restaurant and tram restaurant. Very tacky but touristy.

12. And finally....

Need I say more? So go on! Visit Melbourne :)

My Life as a Couch Potato

I have come to the sad realisation that my fatness is very much due to my (lack of) life and couch potato-ness. What happened to me? I used to never like television. Now since I have no friends and nothing to do all day except study, TV has become my life. I eat it, dream it, BREATHE IT.

A typical week in the life of Gracie is A Couch-Potatoholic

OH YES ITS BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY, my favourite TV night

6:30 Australia's Got Talent (yes, im only watching it to see what Danni's wearing)

7:30 Oh no! Will it be Betty or the Wolf Man on 60minutes? Must flick channels obsessively during ad breaks

8:30 Greys Anatomy or Rove? (aka. McSteamy vs McShort-and-not-funny-but-your-wife-died-so-everyone-feels-sorry-for-you)

9:30 What about Brian or Pussycats Dolls? Oh dear, the hottie vs the nastybitches. Decisions...

10:30 Cheaters! Low-budget show about how people catch cheating partners. Hehe ;P

MONDAY:

7:30 The Rich List

8:30 Desperate Housewives

9:30 Brothers and Sisters

10:30 Boston Legal

11:30 Scrubs (how good was the musical episode last week?!)

TUESDAY: This must be the only night that I dont watch anything past A Current Affair cos Dancing With The Stars and NCIS just doesnt do it for me. Anyway its Tightass Tuesday! Out to the movies with all the other small-anused people in the suburbs. Hot.

WEDNESDAY:

7:30 New Show! The Truth About Size Zero. As if I didnt know already from my anorexic skinny days.

8:30 Heroes. I must say I have a slight crush on the Japanese guy Hiro Nakamura. Eccentric and daggy, my type of guy.

9:30 Prison Break (even though ive already seen it on YouTube)

10:30 24. I dont get this show but I figure its got to be intellectually stimulating in some way since it has spies and Vice-Presidents in it.

THURSDAY:

7:30 & 8:00 How I met Your Mother and Earl. Ok I dont actually like these American sitcoms, Marco watches them and I just deal with it.

8:30 Lost, which should really be called: Can Someone Please FIND These Muthaf***ers Already!

9:30 The Amazing Race. Haha the dwarf is soooo funny. LOL

10:30 Family Guy. Oh my second favourite American dysfunctional animated family.

11:00 Con. Some dickhead who makes money/gets free stuff out of conning people. Interesting but very contrived.

FRI/SAT NIGHT MOVIES! Yay watching re-runs of movies I've already seen a million times or premieres of movies I've seen 5 years ago in the cinema. Popcorn please!

And I did all that only peeking at the TV guide once. OK twice, I got confused with the times. What can I say? In times of no-lifeness, turn to TV. It will solve all your problems except fatness.

Ciao bellas

I'm a designer

Guess what, it turns out that theres a new designer in Manhatten with the same name as me.
Well, lets just pretend its me.
Here are a couple of my designs:

You can check out more at http://www.blaec.com/grace-sun.shtml
Thanks Hazel for the link ;P

In the meantime, I am getting fatter by the day and more and more frustrated with assignments and life in general. Im just so over it atm. In 2 months I will be a Masters graduate without a job and fat as a hippo. *grimace*
I am totally ready to change my life and go the The Biggest Loser and win a million.
Thats me trying to look sexily frustrated and thin:

OH NO! A fashion disaster

OMG OMG OMG a terrible thing has happened!! Oh its devastating i tell you...
I was flicking through a book about doggie grooming and it said that if you cut the hair around the sides of your doggies nails, it will look nicer. So today, after cutting Coconut's nails, I decided to trim his hair and paint his nails. That's when the terrible thing happened. I was overly zealous with the fur (cuticle) trimming and ended up with this:

AHHHHH!!!
Im so upset, he now has 3 normal paws and one derelict witch-looking paw which TOTALLY ruins his look.*cries*
He's so ugly now I have to keep reminding myself that I still love him.
Its so very sad....

On a lighter note, here is the Easter dinner I made the other night.

Mashed potatoes from scratch, with parmesan cheese and parsley :) Mmmm, soul food

Gravy from scratch with mushrooms and onions. Looks gross but tasted good

Okay this one wasnt from scratch, I got it from the poultry place down the road...

Roast chicken with honey and herb stuffing!

Ta-da! Pure gluttony. What a culinary expert I am. Additional food on plate: corn cob from coles and microvave veges ;P

Yan and her friend Rosie came down to Melbourne the other day and I had dinner with them on Lygon St (equivalent of Norton St in Sydney). I had the biggest plate of spaghetti marinara and ate so much I nearly died at the end. GREED RULZ! It was so funny cos I was wearing my chunky heels that day which makes me about 173cm, and they are both 155 and 153cm respectively. It was so bizarre walking down the street, I looked like the a GIANT. They were literally at my knees. Hehe, pun intended.

Little peopleLittle peopleLittle person and THE GIANT

My huge plate of pasta. It was 2x as wide as me, no joke. Maybe more...

We went to watch a movie marathon the other night and I swear to God it was the worst experience of my life. All the cinemas were sold out and packed with 12-16year old kids who were yelling and swearing and fighting and having sex. It was so horrible, I couldnt even hear the movie (all of which were shit anyway. Think: 300+Are we done yet+Ghost rider). No wonder I had the biggest headache by the end of it. But heres the STEWIE we won at the "pick up the soft toy with the claw" machine:

Hehe. (Bad English accent) VICTORY SHALL BE MINE!!!!!!!!

Good night. Ive had an exhausting day and the worst manicure of my life. Does anybody know how long it takes paw hair to grow back?? Please inform me! I hate mummy she is evil, dont ever let her get near my nails again.

Happy Easter!

Hi Everybody :)

This is coconut, and here are some photos from my first trip away to Phillip Bay. We looked at Penguins and they were really cute.
It was really fun and I really enjoyed myself. I only got sick once and I was really good at hiding in the doggy bag when we went to all the places where dogs werent allowed.

This is mummy at The Nobbies:

I dont know what this is but it looked interesting so mummy took a photo of it

This is at Churchill Island. Its like a completely man-made island off the coast of Phillip Bay. Very quiet and artificial

This nice man is doing a blacksmith demonstration. It was very educational and i watched it secretly from my little peephole out of the bag
If you're wondering why theres no photos of me here its cos I wasnt allowed in. But I was really quiet in the bag.

This is when we were leaving the island. Thats a highland cattle. Oh theres me! I was really scared of the cattle but I couldnt stop staring at them out the window. How cute am i

This is at the koala park. It was BORING AS and all the dumb koalas did was sleep. Did you know koalas sleep 20hours a day? Lazy bastards. I wasnt allowed here either so mummy hid me in the bag again. *sigh*
Oh hey im out of the bag! This is outside our room at the resort. It was a spa resort and very nice. I peed all over the carpet and mummy had to run around after me spraying carpet cleaner all day hehe. Yeh she loved it, she needs to lose some weight anyway. Btw if your wondering why shes always wearing the same thing its because she only brought one change of clothes and shes going through a "mustard yellow" phase at the moment. I like it. Tulip skirts are so last month.
This is me hugging the penguin mummy bought from the Penguin Parade.

There was no photography allowed in the Penguin Parade so thats why there are no photos of them. Penguins shit alot. I saw them shitting when they were walking up the hill. It was funny.

This is at the go kart place at the Grand Prix circuit in Phillip Bay. Its a really huge circuit and there is a replica of it for go kart racers. Mum looks so daggy in that hair net, but everyone had to wear one
Mummy came second last! Haha! She would have come last if that last person wasnt a 7yr old kid. LOL.

I love mummy

Mummy is so pretty in pink. When I grow up I wanna be just like her

Oh yeh and guess who came to visit (with Luke). This photo is at Koko Black, a really yummy chocolate place. But he broke up with her again. But thats another story for another day...

Hope you enjoyed my pics and Happy Easter!
Lov lots
Coconut *woof*
