And OMG how big does my bum look in this pic?? Then I realised it was the wind making the dress billow...
... so we tried again and this time there was no wind but my butt was still big *cries*
This is how I get treated normally:
... but we settled on a traditional turkey dinner, and got really full:
I had so much for lunch that day I had a mini telletubbie already even before I started eating! See??
Never mind, a poo will fix that.
It was funny cos during the whole meal, every time Steve called me he started off his sentences with "Wife". Cute, but eventually I want him to switch to something like "yummy mummy", "MILF", or "beautiful, sexy and unbelievably tolerant and intelligent mother of my children".
YEAAAAAA
Thanks everyone for being there for me! I kept it so small and hardly invited anyone, but thats the way we wanted it :)
P.S. Apparently I look like her:
OMG as if. I'm like 100x uglier than her and 1000x fatter.
Oh OH! And my friend Mel has a new bilingual fashion blog now - Girl in a Scarlet Dress as well as her old Beijing Baby blog. Check it out for lotsa good Jap fashion & ideas :p
My godson:The Sun family reunited (although I'm gonna be a Chang soon):
Dont we look just like a family here??
The parents stayed at home while we went bar hopping with Nat.
First stop: Glamour Bar @ M on the Bund
Next: Lounge 18
Last stop: Muse I (where supposedly I got drunk according to Froggie but im like pffft)
DAY TWO:
In front of my hotel with my OMFG I LOVE YOU red cashmere coat:
I was also the only one to order the "Mysterious Menu" haha... noone else wanted to risk it so I took the bullet and it was fun, although I think I just got smaller portions of what everyone else was having (but I wasnt really sure)...
Next, we got tickets to Yoko Ono's new art launch. She was meant to be there, but we missed her cos we spent so long having that blind experience LOL:
One of her works:
The Art Wall, where you write your own messages:
We ended with drinks and water pipes @ Bar Barossa:
DAY THREE:
Nat took us to an Australian BBQ restaurant called Kakadu owned by a half-Aborigine where we were served by Phillipino expats. Nice!
I decided I REALLY needed to fix up my nails with the new polish I got from Sephora:
... And spent the whole meal eating like this:
We then hung out in the trendy lanes in Shanghai's French Concession - shopping in stores, cosy cafes, and acting like an unco:
Then we went back to Pudong, hoping to go on top of the new Financial Centre (aka the "bottle opener") that is taller than Taipei 101. It also houses the new Grand Hyatt:
But it was raining and even cloudier than the day before. Omg so HILAR, we couldnt see a thing, it ws completely white:
This is the Park Hyatt across the road. Almost as tall, but not as ugly looking:
We had coffee in the lounge bar inside and it has this really cool atrium thing that reaches all the way to the top:
And Froggie the Nerdie bought one of those mind game things (its like a Rubix Cube) and spent the whole time working on it...
... And conquered!!
Claps from us! Clap clap!
Celebrating an early B'day for Nat at Lost Heaven right before we leave:
I love Nat! Happy Bday! You know what gonna happen on your Bday - so I will never forget it! :)
Yay! Old friends are still the best...
LOVES!
But get this. The best part of the trip was when Froggie announced in front of everyone that he will get acrylic nails when I climb a mountain.
I want him to remember that when I conquer Kinabalu, or whatever its called...
