Actually, before I go on, there were two other events that also totally made my weekend. The first was that we started apartment hunting and everything we've looked at is super nice! My favorite ended up being one that is on the 33rd floor of the same building that Froggie's boss lives in (he lives on the 34th floor), so we might have to rule that one out as bumping into his wife and kid every second day would eventually take its toll on me... the search continues but I am ecstatic about getting a (much) bigger place, its gonna be so much fun~~!! *jumps jumps*
The second exciting thing is that we finally joined the "Small married couples group" at church, and the Sat meeting turned out to be really really fun! It was so great to meet other young couples our age who are going through the same experiences and challenges we are, both in life and in marriage. I think if we keep attending things like this, we'll end up being really godly and good, which probably isnt a bad thing for aggressive Type-A personalities like ourselves.
Moving on... the highlight of my weekend was Butterfinger Pancakes.
Sad, I know, but its so hard to get massive portions of American breakfasts over here that once in a while it really becomes a damn treat.
My Oreo and banana milk (that tasted like pure cream) and his Orangeade:
Me = Happy. And admiring the dessert the pretty chickies were eating next to me...
I think they only ate one-fifth of it and left the rest (a very common occurrence with Korean girls, but never in our household)
My husband is so lame. He ate a CREPE. HUH!!!
MINE (I am not lame)
The mashed potatoes are mine too *glee*
He's not really that full, I just made him do that face haha
Residue:
Meanwhile, I snuck out of work during my lunch break today to see Steve McCurry's (the renowned photojournalist) exhibition in Seoul. IT WAS REALLY GOOD.
His pictures always inspire me, and here are some of my faves (taken with the shitty Canon, so please excuse my shadow in every photo)...
And of course, the picture of the green-eyed "Afgan Girl" that was printed by National Geographic, and became one of the most well-known photographs of all time:
There was a documentary playing at the gallery called "The Search for the Afgan Girl" and it was about how they tried to find the girl in the picture 17 years later.... and they FOUND HER after years of searching. It was really interesting but for some reason it had me bawling my eyes out at the end. My hormones are so out of whack these days...
Me in my work clothes looking yucks and fat. I dunno about this wearing-flats-all-the-time thing, even if they are Prada. I still think it makes me look gross :(
